Answer

Imaging Arts' ArtSurround is our method of printing and stretching (gallery-wrapping) a canvas photograph that results in a finished art piece, ready to hang just as you receive it (see examples).

Your photo is first optimized for printing, then printed on Imaging Arts' special high brightness fine art canvas. The canvas is then "gallery-wrapped" - stretched over thick wooden stretcher bars. Usual gallery wrapping leaves the edges of the piece blank white or black. ArtSurround adds extra image area that is covers the edges, resulting in a more natural, finished look that makes framing completely optional.

ArtSurround prints are archival. They can be displayed for generations.

And they have a clarity and feel - an immediacy - that you just don't get with conventional photographic “paper under glass”. Seeing is believing!
