What image file formats are acceptable?

Imaging Arts accepts all standard image formats, including:

.jpeg
.jpg
.tif
.psd (Adobe Photoshop)

We also accept native camera Raw formats. We encourage the use of Raw formats, if your camera offers the option, since they allow greater latitude in processing, and can give superior results. You are more likely to keep good highlight and shadow detail in difficult scenes with Raw. Raw files are larger than jpeg files, so you get fewer images on a memory card, but professionals, pushing for that last ounce of image quality, like them. We accept all common Raw file types, including, but not limited to:

.nef
.dcs
.dng
